The Little Cuyahoga Summer Camp
The Little Cuyahoga Exploration Camp is a five-day outdoor camp that explores nature within the Cascade Valley Neighborhood. Activities will include scavenger hunts, story times, and hikes along the Little Cuyahoga River and the Cuyahoga River and in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park—all while learning about urban and natural ecosystems. Daily camp activities will start and end at Elizabeth Park, with two days in Summit Metro Parks and two days in Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
Akron Parks Week Celebration
Join us and support the City in celebrating this year's Akron Parks Week. The celebration will take place at Elizabeth Park (40 E Lods St.) from 12-4pm, featuring live music, tree planting, craft and art projects, volunteer opportunities, and more. Food trucks from International Jerk and Jenuine Cuisines will be on-site as well as 4 Bros and a Sis Lemonade Stand. Food and lemonade will be available for purchase. Live music from Red Rose Panic will be showcased on the Showmobile stage from 1-3pm. Admission is free. Bring a chair or a blanket, grab some food, plant a tree and enjoy some live music! Neighborhood Informational
On April 23, 2022 at 2pm, the Cascade Valley neighborhood is invited to Elizabeth Park for an time for food, information, and feedback. Items up for discussion include review of recent engagement and investment in the neighborhood, the Parks Week Celebration on May 14, feedback on a public art project, and the Little Cuyahoga Explorers summer camp.
